As our Claims Adjuster - Construction Specialist. You’ll play a key role in supporting property claims repair and resolution, bringing your construction expertise to life. From assessing damages to guiding rebuilds, you’ll help ensure every claim is handled with precision, fairness, and care.

DIVE IN AND MAKE A SPLASH EVERY DAY BY:

• Reviewing scopes of repair using photos, documentation, and claim details to ensure accurate estimates
• Acting as a construction consultant, advising adjusters on rebuilds, restorations, and building code requirements
• Preparing detailed estimates for emergency and reconstruction services using industry software
• Reviewing vendor estimates to ensure alignment with scopes, standards, and best practices
• Negotiating with contractors to reach fair and efficient repair cost agreements
• Attending loss sites when needed to assess damage and support claim resolution
• Identifying potential fraud or inconsistencies and escalating concerns
• Providing technical training and mentorship to team members
• Supporting continuous improvement in claims processes and practices
• Delivering empathetic, top-tier customer service to all stakeholders
• Staying current on building codes, construction trends, and insurance practices

WHAT YOU BRING TO SANDBOX:

• Seasoned Pro: Minimum 10 years of claims experience, including 2–3 years in property estimating and construction
• Certified Expert: CIP designation (or equivalent) and Level 2 Xactimate certification (or equivalent)
• Construction Know-How: Strong understanding of residential and commercial construction, materials, codes, and blueprints
• Tech Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and estimating software
• Detail Detective: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make sound decisions
• Master Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
• People Leader: Ability to mentor, train, and support team members
• On-the-Go: Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to loss sites, sometimes in challenging conditions
