Chief Experience Officer

In April 2025, Rachel Kehrig was named Chief Experience Officer at Sandbox Mutual Insurance—bringing her passion for storytelling, strategy, and customer connection to the heart of the organization. Since joining Sandbox in 2022 as AVP, Marketing, Rachel has been instrumental in shaping how Sandbox shows up for policyholders and brokers, driving efforts to simplify messaging, elevate experiences, and build meaningful relationships at every touchpoint.

With a deep understanding that how something is said is just as important as what’s being said, Rachel has led the charge in creating clear, engaging, and human-centered communication. Now, as CXO, she’s focused on orchestrating experiences across the entire policyholder, broker, and employee journey, ensuring that every interaction feels seamless, personal, and supportive.

Before stepping into the insurance space, Rachel built her career leading marketing and communications strategies across agriculture, potash mining, and retail. She holds a Bachelor of Communications, Public Relations from Mount Royal University, completed the U of S Leadership Development Program, and is certified in Crisis Communications Management from the Institute for Crisis Management.
